About

mejump.jpg This BLOG is:

WHO: Chuck Arlund – Glam photo dude.

FOR: Photographers, my wonderful clients, anyone with an interest in photography and Glam Rock Music.

WHY: Because I have been told I know a bit about photography. I love to teach and give back. Becasue EVERYONE else does it. I mean come on…

RULES: I am sarcastic so beware and take what I say with a grain of salt. I really do not know that much, I feel my photography much like I feel my music. I will teach how I get and achieve my images. Ask me technical details but don’t be surprised if I happen to say “because it felt right”.

Leave comments and ask questions. I want this to be very interactive. my old blog was hard to be interactive. This is capable of being very interactive.

I’m sure I will add more to this as I think of things to say.

Latrenia Bryant - Hey! Just wanted to say I love your work and your blog is awesome!

Keep up the good work..you’re an inspiration :)

Charles Von Himmel - Hi, Chuckie! I am strictly an amateur photographer with a good eye for recognizing talent, originality, ability, artistry and work ethic. I can clearly see that you have a surplus of each of these attributes going for you. As for me, I live on Long Island in Massapequa, NY. Unfortunately, people in NY (and usually elsewhere in the USA?) are fairly paranoid when you try to take candid shots of them. I suppose they feel that you will steal their photos and put them on the Internet. And? So, I often settle for taking shots of local flowers, local landscape and local pets. Perhaps I could be considered to be an advanced user in Photoshop, and a somewhat above average amateur photographer. BTW, for years I made a decent living as a musician, guitarist, songwriter…but nowadays, it’s easier to write and record songs — and sometimes with my son — directly onto my computer. I would love to learn from you about fashion photography and taking candid shots of people who don’t want their photos taken. Lastly, it’s a pleasure to view your work, Chuckie! Post a song or two and I’ll give them a listen too! CVH

Tammy Watson - Crazy question… I have an 18 year old son that is trying to find his niche in the world right now. He loves music first and photography is just more of a hobby for him. After a hard year with his parents divorcing, health issues, moving, and lots of other stuff, I’m trying to help him get some direction. I know he needs to do it, but like I said I want to help him. I saw your website and thought maybe you could be an inspiration to him. I would be willing to pay for some classes for him if that is what he decides he wants to do. Is there anyway we could ever visit your studio and just talk with you? Tammy Watson … Thanks

Chuckie - Go to my website chuckarlund.com and leave your contact information so that way I can send you information you need. Thank you
